How you can help the Society

You might like to set up a support group in your local area to raise funds to help the Society.  These funds can be directed toward a specific society activity or for general operational use.

The activities chosen by these groups can be many and varied and usually involve having a great deal of fun with your friends and community members whilst helping to raising funds for a good cause.

Bequest

A bequest(G) to the Society may be best thought of as a deferred donation.

In its normal form, a bequest comprises a paragraph inserted into a new will, or formally attached to an existing will, that states your desire to assist the work of the society by a donation to be made following your death.

You may bequeath a fixed amount or any part or percentage of your assets to the Society. Your financial or legal advisor can help to draft the paragraph so that your wishes are made clear and your instructions carried out.

Donation

The most direct and tangible way of assisting the Society with its work is by a cash or in-kind donation.

The Society is registered under Queensland State law as an incorporated association and public charity; and under Australian Federal law as a public benevolent institution. Whilst imposing strict legal, accounting and reporting requirements upon the Society, these laws also allow the Society some useful taxation concessions.

Healthcare Assistance

The Gynaecological Cancer Society offers a range of services in the area of healthcare.
