Preoperative workup includes:
- Pelvic ultrasound +/- CT scan abdomen and pelvis
- FBC, electrolytes, urea, creatinine, liver function tests
- Tumour markers - Ca 125, CEA 4. CXR
- Medical and anaesthetic assessment according to patient health
- Stomal therapist, social worker, psychologist - if required
